As an intern at
Arts+Labor, I contributed to the Armadillo World Headquarters project by managing social media accounts, photographing merchandise, and creating supplemental assets for video content.
Austin FC x Armadillo World Headquarters 2024 Kit
In Feb. 2024, Austin FC launched the Armadillo Kit, paying homage to one of Austin’s most beloved venues, The Armadillo World Headquarters.
The Armadillo became an early base for Austin’s music scene in the 1970s, playing a large role in Austin’s esteemed nickname: "Live Music Capital of the World."
Shortly following the kit launch, Austin FC announced a pop-up venue and merch store on South Congress Ave., further celebrating the legacy of the Armadillo.
(This activation was independent of Arts+Labor but provides essential context for the larger cultural impact.)
The new Armadillo hosted young local talent as well as seasoned musicians with programming in the retail space and across local historic venues such as the Cactus Cafe on UT Campus.
